The UAE has been ranked the fourth most attractive destination in the world for purchasing holiday homes, according to a new global study released by Property Finder. The report, which evaluated 32 countries, highlights the UAE’s growing appeal as a preferred hub for living, investment, and tourism—driven by favourable regulations, exceptional infrastructure and world-class lifestyle offerings.
The analysis assessed key factors including affordability, transport connectivity, rental yields, tax burdens and quality-of-life indicators. While traditional tourism powerhouses dominated the top three—Spain in first place, followed by France and Portugal—the UAE’s strong position demonstrates the success of its modern development strategy, economic resilience and advanced urban planning.
Spain’s top ranking is attributed to its Mediterranean climate, long coastline and 50 UNESCO World Heritage sites. France took second place for its cultural richness and history, while Portugal secured third thanks to its relaxed lifestyle, beautiful beaches and renowned golf resorts. The United States followed the UAE in fifth place, bolstered by diverse tourism hotspots from Florida to California.
The UAE continues to rise as a global lifestyle destination, supported by exceptional performance in safety, hospitality, entertainment and mobility. With clean beaches, vibrant leisure districts, cultural landmarks, luxury retail offerings and a year-round calendar of events, the country offers a holistic living experience that surpasses traditional holiday expectations.
The study underscores a shift in buyer behaviour, where long-term reliability, stability, safety and transparency now outweigh natural scenery alone. These are areas where the UAE excels, reinforcing its position as a secure, future-ready market for international holiday home buyers.
